Reality Rejected comes from Jyväskylä, Finland and their music salutes to old school melodic heavy rock spiced with modern twists.
They are a group of friends who have known each other for ages. Their interest in music can be traced back to the same cat-urinated 80's playgrounds in a small town called Lievestuore. There must be something in that sand which triggers the love for metal music.
The band was formed in 2006 by Guitarist/Singer/Keyboardist Samuli Ylönen, Drummer Jukka Mäkinen and Bassist Riku Sormunen. The spark to the formation of the group was the need for some fresh music to the guitarist's finals in Tampere Conservatory. After that spectacle there has been a somewhat steady stream of new ideas of songs which have kept the wheels rolling.
Riku and Samuli play also in a band closer to the heavier end of the spectrum called My Dawn.
