CAUGHT IN THE BETWEEN is a relatively young act, formed in the spring 2005, when Vekku realized that he had a nice bunch of songs that did not suit for his other projects. The songs had so much potential that a qroup was easily formed among friends. However, the lack of motivation among the first line-up and the urge to push the band forward forced Vekku to search for new members.
In 2006 Vekku and Mr. SeaSatan got together and started to discuss the possibility of making a full-length production that would give them a chance to practice their ambitiousness without boundaries. A lot of research was made among friends, past and current bandmates before the second line-up was finally ready. The recording was made without battling against time, giving the band an opportunity to figure out the new arrangements so that the songs would kick ass 110%.
The full-length debut album, Equilibrium was successfully released in 16.1.2008. We were ready to release the album already in December 2007, but thanks to a distribution deal with Firebox, we decided to postpone the release. During the fall 2007 it became clear that this band would play live and keep on writing music, which exceeds the original idea of a one-album studio project. Otto took the rhythm guitar duties along with vocals. We searched for a drummer for quite a while, but in February 2008 Mättö-Masa completed the lineup. We are currently rehearsing a setlist in order to play live.
